Your Role in a Nutshell:
As an SMB – Account Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of building strong client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer success. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the art of consultative selling while working with cutting-edge cloud solutions.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven solutions, retain customers, and identify growth opportunities within our Small and Medium Business (SMB) client base.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Target Achievement
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline to ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Upsell and cross-sell technology solutions within existing SMB accounts.
Customer Engagement & Canvassing
- Visit and engage with existing customers regularly to build strong relationships.
- Proactively engage and onboard new SMB customers to support business growth.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure service recovery.
Funnel Growth & Marketing Collaboration
- Work with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns, events, and promotional activities to grow the sales funnel.
- Participate in marketing initiatives, exhibitions, and awareness programs to drive lead generation.
Opportunity Management
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Track and follow up on all opportunities to ensure timely closure.
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market trends within the SMB segment.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain 100% accuracy in CRM & Funnel updates (leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and follow-ups).
- Generate and update sales reports, pipeline reviews, and forecasts on a timely basis.
Collections & Finance Coordination
- Follow up on outstanding customer dues.
- Provide accurate information on receivables and coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely collections.
Internal Collaboration
- Participate in sales meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.
- Work closely with pre-sales, technical, delivery, and support teams to ensure smooth solution implementation.
- Support internal coordination to deliver high-quality service to customers
Educational Qualifications Expected
- Diploma / postgraduate or degree in sales management
- Proven experience in sales/account management (preferably in IT).
Experience Expected
- 2+ years’ experience in sales/account management (preferably in IT)
- Prior experience in IT solutions, technology services, or SMB-focused sales is preferred.
- Experience in managing end-to-end sales cycles for SMB clients within technology or solution-based sales will be an added advantage
Skill Expected
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent active listening and customer engagement abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
- Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
