The Role in a Nutshell
The Solution Sales Professional is responsible for driving revenue growth, customer engagement, and adoption of Microsoft Cloud solutions. You will guide organizations through digital transformation across cloud infrastructure, workplace modernization, data analytics, AI, and productivity solutions.
This role requires engaging C‑suite executives, leading consultative sales motions, building strategic account plans, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring customers realize measurable business value.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy, Growth & Solutions Enablement
- Build go‑to‑market strategies and execute demand‑generation activities in partnership with Microsoft.
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets, usage metrics, and co‑sell goals.
- Guide clients to access Microsoft funding programs to accelerate POCs and deployments.
- Take the lead role in acquiring new customers.
- Identify, nurture, and close upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Conduct needs assessments using SPIN methodology to tailor solutions.
- Manage pipelines with forecasting accuracy and operational rigor.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Microsoft‑based platforms, including:
- Microsoft Azure, security, networking
- Data analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, OpenAI
- Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Modern Work, Copilot
- Serve as a trusted advisor on cloud modernization, security fundamentals, workplace transformation, and AI readiness.
Customer Engagement & Solution Enablement
- Build and maintain relationships with C‑level executives.
- Deliver demos, presentations, and solution walkthroughs to prospects.
- Support customers in accessing Microsoft program funds effectively.
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Work with Technical Specialists, Account Managers, and Sales Operations to ensure seamless delivery.
- Collaborate with Microsoft and partner ecosystem to stay updated on offerings and solution roadmaps.
Market Insight, Reporting & Governance
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activities and pipeline status.
- Prepare sales performance reports, forecasts, and market insights.
- Track customer priorities and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in technology sales, account management, or solutions selling.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders and winning complex deals.
- Microsoft Certifications are an added advantage.
